What I've been up to

Sum it up in point form:

• Finished written portion of thesis dropped it off at the office in 2 boxes and one internal mail service envelope for my committee. At the copy centre the very enthusiastic employee gave me a celebratory lollipop.
• Am still finishing the website part of the thesis, should be done tomorrow, working slower then a tortoise on Qualudes, would it be disingenious of me to say I just don't give a flying fig anymore. I don't know what magic part of my self I am using to do the last part of the work, but when it runs out I am screwed.
• In reference to above, to augment my poor sad little self, I ate a whole frozen pizza this afternoon. It was square. That makes sense from the perspective of efficiency, but it still seemed wrong.
• I watched episode 18 of 30 Rock, where Liz realizes her hot boyfriend lives in a bubble of perfection - I empathized with poor Liz but happily have had no such experiences with ignorant beauty. Sexy smartness - that's another story;)
• After submitting the monster, (thesis, I mean) I went right out and bought The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, which is absolutely shocking good. Except last night while falling asleep I was thinking in this strange mangled Spanish, made all the worse for the fact that I really don't know Spanish at all.
• I watched this video by OhBijou a band from Toronto, also wondrous.
• I discovered I am a hippie but also an existentialist philosopher, comme Sartre - thanks to Facebook.

In all, I'd say it's been a fantastic week/week-end.
