All of Thursday Extremely wonderful

Except for this weird pancake thing I ate at the cafe after the Christian Marclay Exhibit at DHC, that was one salty, gummy pancake, (don't ask). Christian Marclay was insanely good. Don't look at the website, just go and make sure you don't dink out after the first building, which only acts as an intro to the man's obsessive interests. Interests that are given free (and inspiring) reign in the second building.

So that was the first good thing of the afternoon.

The second was hearing Bon Iver for the first time as I walked home in the sun, catching up on some badly needed D-rays. Check this out: I already sent one song to Mike because I think Bon Iver might be his indy-rock doppelganger. The weird thing is I thought " Hey Mike would sure like this" before I learned that Bon Iver is his spirit brother via a youtube video. Voila:

What's that you say, a burly fellow who likes to snap his fingers, sing a cappella and wear man-bags. YES and is it Mike? NO! It's Bon Iver. Best line; "for all your lies, you're still very lovable".

One thing that separates the two men is this: Mike L has never sung "Dance, Dance, Dance" with Lykke Li on a sunny fountain in LA.

I have, actually. But just in my heart.

Actually I just came from my modern dance class. Everything you said is pretty much true.

What do you think of Fleet Foxes? I can't decide if I like them - him? or not. Bon Iver, I fear, will throw me into a deep melancholy in the same way that a dog, hearing howling, will harmonize involuntarily. Resonant misery; concordant sadness.
