September 20th

There's good news there's bad news, but there is always music

Yeah, so all I do is work now, Lola's legs are finito, I have *still* no money. I am supposed to do a stand-up routine in a week, and the whole process of trying to be funny has left me with about 1000 words of the most awkward sounding mess I have ever written. Not that I am crabby... noooo not me.

Anyways, check out Florence and the Machine they are great:

Old Fiona Apple song

in

I forgot all about this song.

I like that the video has a 90's narrative arc, with weird stage design styles etc.. (think R. E.M's Shiny Happy People). I miss this kind of music video, now they seem to be faster pastiche. The video for "Oh Sailor" is so fascinating visually, that it almost overshadows the music.

Comedy class report + bitching about my phone.

This is technically a rant that has probably been done 1000 times on a blog, it's the lolcats of rants. But I am going to do it anyways.

Why is my phone bill always 200 dollars? I mean minimum 200. Usually more. Then I call them and freak out - especially when my buy-out is $118. I think they must like it why else would they send me such ridonkulous phone bills. They like to hear me cry. Last time my bill was $500, the buy-out $118. I suppose some people just buy out their contracts and then try to avoid paying the $500 outstanding. I however, made irate, asthmatic wheezing noises and then vague threats about iPhones until they lowered my bill by the cost of the buyout and then changed my plan to something that would 'better suit my usage pattern' swearing to god that I could not possibly use all my minutes, not if I was a manic gossip-fiend with a million friends. Couldn't. Possibly. Use. My. Minutes. Yet this month my bill is 195 dollars. I saved 5 dollars? What am I doing, calling people while I sleep? No, forgetting to hang up the phone? No. Getting screwed by Telus? Pretty much.

Anyways, that's enough of that. Even though I am still annoyed.
