Date

Where's the love, work-pants?

So it's Friday almost afternoon, I just spent two hours, reading music blogs, looking at pictures of a puppy my friend wants to adopt, reading the music blog again, sending an email or two, sweeping the floor, sweeping the desk, watering the Japanese peace lily, writing on a file card "Reading responses this week-end- don't forget" and putting scotch tape on the file card and sticking it on the side of my computer screen, downloading some Stone Roses, calling my friend to see if she'd meet me at a cafe, and ummm dusting the stapler.

Does anyone else have this problem? Since I know Friday is the only day where I have no other obligations then to sit on my tuchas and get some work done, should I not greet this day as if it represented 12 golden hours of productivity?? But no, I sit there looking for something anything to keep me from focusing. If someone called and invited me to a study date in Cornwall I'd be like; "I'm so there."

Maybe today I'll go to Chapters and get the 7 habits of highly effective people, then I'll drop in at the Winners and look for nice belts, then I'll make sure the 7 habits sits on top of my pile of library books and remains unread.

Then I'll go to community yoga and hope that stretching my spine will shake loose the demon of non-production.

FUUUUUCCCCKKKKK.

Oh here, care of Badminton Stamps are a couple of procrastination songs to bop your head against the (now dusted) desk to:

Stone Roses - "I wanna be Adored"

Vampire Weekend - "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa" (Superprince Edit)
