I don't usually publicly declare my resolutions. Also I usually make them on my birthday. But I feel pretty good heading into 2008. So I thought I'd give it a whirl. I also don't tend to make resolutions because I am a total quitter, the quittingest (and no don't ask me what happened to the no-dates until 2008 resolution, or I will reach out through the internet and slap you so hard your teeth fly out your ears).

Is January 2nd a public holiday?

No No No and No. Ask anyone in any city besides Montreal (which did get a big dump of snow yesterday it's true), what they are doing today and they will probably say going back to work.
